This year's Healthy Living week has been packed full of fun, active and informative activities for the children. All children participated in fitness workshops, run by qualified coaches. They learnt about how to keep healthy and read food packaging, as well taking part in different physical activities that can be done at home or at school.
On Tuesday, children were able to try different foods that could be included in their packed lunches. Many children were surprised by how tasty the different foods were, including natural yoghurt and honey, hummus, dips, vegetable sticks, rice cakes and dried fruit.
On Wednesday, we were lucky to be visited by Lizzie Harrison from Quorn. Everyone had the opportunity to try lots of tasty meals and how quorn can be part of our healthy diet and is high in protein.
